Forum for Impact and The Table Announce Strategic Partnership to Accelerate Climate Finance for Women-Led Ventures
New collaboration integrates catalytic philanthropic capital with FFI’s global network of active impact investors and philanthropists, targeting a £300M evergreen philanthropic vehicle to unlock billions in blended climate capital.
VICTORIA, CANADA / LONDON, UK — Forum for Impact (FFI), a global invite-only convening platform connecting impact investors, family offices, philanthropists, and finance leaders, today announced a strategic partnership with The Table, a catalytic capital vehicle designed to accelerate climate funding to women (co)led ventures worldwide. The Table will serve as a core vehicle for FFI’s climate and gender lens initiatives.
The partnership unites The Table’s innovative recoverable grants model with FFI’s established global investor and philanthropy ecosystem, creating an integrated engine where community investors scout and diligence opportunities and catalytic philanthropic capital accelerates them.
“The capital allocation failure slowing our climate response is well-documented, only 16% of climate finance needs are currently being met, and women (co)led ventures receive a fraction even of that. The Table exists to fix this. Partnering with FFI means our catalytic capital is immediately deployed alongside validated investor conviction from one of the most respected networks in global impact finance. Together, we’re not just funding innovation, we’re building a compounding system for it.”
— Carmel Rafaeli & Julie Blane, Founding Partners, The Table
A New Model for Climate Capital
The Table targets a £300M evergreen philanthropic vehicle that deploys recoverable grants alongside equity investment from FFI’s and The Table’s investor communities. The model is structured for maximum impact and minimal founder burden: if a venture fails, the grant is forgiven; if it grows, 4% of annual revenue flows back to The Table, until the grant is repaid, and is recycled into the next generation of women-led climate companies.
Every grant is matched to a community investor commitment, ensuring capital flows exclusively to validated climate innovations. The model is structured to compound: every £1 in philanthropic capital is projected to unlock £18 in total climate capital through a combination of grant recycling and follow-on investor participation.
“FFI was built on the belief that the right convening, the right room, the right relationships, can move capital faster than any single institution. The Table brings the complementary infrastructure: catalytic, non-dilutive capital that meets women founders where they are and scales with them. This is exactly the kind of partnership our community was built for.”
— Michael Meehan, Founding Partner, Forum for Impact
Investment Criteria
The Table will fund pre-seed through Series A ventures with at least one woman founder holding significant equity and decision-making authority. Sectors include energy transition, AgTech, Blue Economy, mobility, infrastructure, energy grid, and circularity. Measurable climate outcomes, including CO2 reduction, reduced waste, coastal conservation, and soil health, are a condition of all grants.
Grant sizes match community investors’ tickets with caps of £500K for pre-seed, £750K for seed, and £1M for Series A, with repayment triggered only once a company reaches financial stability.
2026 Launch Targets
The Table has set a £20M funding target for its inaugural year, with a goal of supporting 50 grantees annually. Over a six-year horizon, the vehicle targets £300M in total funding and 500 grantees over ten years, with a projected £5B+ in total blended capital unlocked across the portfolio.
The Table is a Donor Advised Fund under TrustBridge Global, which serves as the umbrella foundation and fiscal sponsor.
