Women’s Leadership in Finance:
Recognizing and elevating women in impact finance is not just about equality; it’s essential for economic growth and innovation. Diverse leadership teams make smarter decisions and deliver stronger results, and this panel explores the path to empowering more women to take on leadership roles in finance, the unique challenges they face, and the strategies for overcoming them.
Philanthropy & Donor-Advised Funds for Impact
Building on FFI’s ongoing initiative to leverage more donor-advised funds for impact in Canada and around the world, this session will
bring together global leaders in philanthropy, DAFs, and institutional finance to explore how we can be more effective in impact philanthropy, highlighting strategies and tools we can use today for maximum impact.
Sustainable Oceans Finance
Blended Finance in the Ocean Economy Continuing our blue economy theme for 2025, we will look into the future of investment in sustainable oceans, in both Canada and abroad. We will discuss current trends and challenges in foreign impact investment and opportunities
for collaboration between public and private finance.
Reshaping Approaches to Climate Philanthropy
Dive into the forefront of climate action with our panel on Innovations in Climate philanthropy, spotlighting the groundbreaking Climate Champions Initiative. Since launching in 2024, this unique endeavour as already generated $481 million in new philanthropic commitments, driven by 12 family offices, and is set on tripling the total amount of climate philanthropy in Canada by 2030. Discover the initiative’s
approach to targeting philanthropy in a way that can unlock public and private capital for climate solutions.
Global Perspectives in Impact
Bringing together leaders from Europe, EU, US, Canada, and the Caribbean to discuss regional priorities and perspectives in impact finance, with a special focus on how we may collaborate among regions for maximum impact.
Investing In (and alongside) Indigenous Peoples for Impact
Continuing on from our June dialogue on impact in partnership with Indigenous Peoples, this dialogue will focus on how innovative funds
are implementing real change with Indigenous Peoples in Canada and abroad. We will focus on how philanthropy, venture, and economic development are coming together to promote innovation and investment in this critical sector.
Focusing on Tangible Outcomes
FFI emphasizes achieving tangible outcomes from its dialogues. The Impact Lenses initiative serves as a framework to guide support for specific projects and investments identified during the discussions. This structure aims to help the FFI community track measurable progress and advance collaborative impact work year after year.
The 2025 Annual Global Dialogue in Toronto will provide a significant opportunity for leaders within the impact investing space to connect, share insights, and collaborate on advancing sustainable and impactful solutions globally.
