Alexandra Cousteau is an ocean advocate, explorer, and strategic advisor working at the intersection of ocean restoration, climate resilience, cities, and capital. Her work focuses on advancing a new paradigm for the next generation: moving beyond conservation toward the large-scale restoration of ocean abundance.

As Co-Founder of Oceans 2050, Alexandra has helped build a global platform focused on restoring ocean ecosystems and unlocking the role of blue natural capital in climate and biodiversity solutions. She is also Co-Founder of the Blue Cities Alliance, an emerging initiative helping coastal cities align vision, science, culture, investment, and measurable action to rebuild their relationship with the ocean and create long-term prosperity.

A National Geographic Explorer and Senior Advisor to Oceana, Alexandra has led expeditions, campaigns, and storytelling initiatives across six continents, engaging governments, companies, investors, philanthropies, schools, and communities in building a more abundant ocean future.

Alexandra is part of the Cousteau family, whose legacy helped define the modern public relationship with the ocean. Today, she carries that legacy forward through a clear mission: restoring abundance to the ocean by 2050.
